And the reviews are in for NBT-4-CNP and Test Transmission!

Beverly Paterson wrote wonderful reviews for both NBT-4-CNP by The Next Big Thing, and for my 8-song sampler Test Transmission (I handed this out at the IPO last November) for the June issue of the Lance Monthly, posted on the online web site of Lance Records. Go to:

New Cut And Paste Records Podcast #11 now online

Episode #11 of Ray's Record Room is now online at: http://cap_records.podomatic.com!

For this particular podcast I decided to do something a little different. This is a 50 minute podcast of audio oddities: excerpts from pirate radio station broadcasts, time and frequency broadcasts, tv and radio continuity announcements, numbers stations, home-made records, phone phreak recordings, things taped off of shortwave radio, etc. No music this time, but I will be back late summer-early fall 2010 with some great new underground pop music from unsigned artists all over the world. Hope you enjoy the podcast. Thanks!

Antenna Farm online ep

A free online ep called Antenna Farm is now avilable for download from Soundclick at:

It's a six track collection of previously released material incoporating shortwave radio
in one form or another, spanning the years 1996-2008:

The tracks are:

Monster
Driving
Hanoi Hanna
Voice Of Free China
In The Last Days
Nothing More To Say (1:30 am)

Tracks 2 through 5 are experimental in nature, whereas tracks 1 and 6 are more or less songs. The last track doesn't incorporate any shortwave sounds in it, but it seemed like a fitting way to end the ep. Anyway, if you like this sort of thing you can download it for free. If you'd like a copy of the credits, email me at cutandpasterecords at yahoo dot com, and I'll send you a cover to print out.

Hope you'll enjoy it!
